Day 1: Arusha Town to Arusha National Park
You’ll be picked up from your lodge early in the morning and embark on a scenic journey to Arusha National Park with lunch boxes in tow. After an exciting game drive, you’ll also get the chance to explore the park on foot, guided by a park ranger. Once your adventure concludes, you’ll be transferred to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Arusha National Park is home to a variety of unique wildlife, including African elephants, Cape buffalo, hippos, zebras, giraffes, and the elusive wildebeest. The park’s landscapes are just as diverse, ranging from expansive savannas to acacia scrubland and ending in a lush rainforest.
Day 2: Arusha to Tarangire National Park
After an early morning pickup from your lodge, you’ll journey to Tarangire National Park with packed lunch boxes. Following an eventful day of game drives, you’ll be taken to your lodge for a well-deserved dinner and overnight stay.
Tarangire National Park is renowned for its large elephant herds and diverse landscapes, from seasonal swamps to open savannas, all shaped by the winding Tarangire River. You may even catch sight of lions stalking prey or leopards lounging in the treetops. After your game drive, you’ll head to your lodge for dinner and a relaxing overnight stay.
Day 3: Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, you’ll set off for a game drive inside the majestic Ngorongoro Crater with lunch boxes packed for the day. Once the day’s wildlife sightings are complete, you’ll be transferred to your lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
The Ngorongoro Crater is the world’s largest intact caldera and one of Africa’s Natural Wonders. Home to around 30,000 large mammals, including buffalo, lions, elephants, cheetahs, and rhinos, it also attracts numerous bird species such as flamingos and eagles. Prepare to encounter a wealth of wildlife in a remarkably short span of time.
Day 4: Lake Manyara National Park
After breakfast, you’ll head to Lake Manyara National Park for your final game drive, with lunch boxes prepared. The park is famous for its tree-climbing lions and is home to a large colony of baboons that may accompany you as you explore. Once the game drives are complete, you’ll be transferred back to Arusha, marking the end of your safari adventure.
